If you have poor credit score, you must be spending sleepless nights thinking about the prospects of taking out a loan. Since the sub-prime mortgage crisis in the US, there are very few lenders who lend money to people with bad credit score. However, if you want to take out auto loans with bad credit, you need not worry as there are ways to take out bad credit car loans. Just as it is possible to get the best auto insurance policy after shopping around, you can also take out an auto loan after shopping around among various lenders. Here are some tips that’ll help you choose the best auto loan despite having a poor credit score. Get realistic while getting an auto loan: The first step that you need to take to get car loans for bad credit is that you have to get realistic. What happens with most car shoppers is they try to find something big as their expectations are very high. You must also be aware of the down payment that you need on the loan as very few banks will lend you money [...]
Two Biggest Mistakes People Make When Applying For Auto Loans With Bad Credit 1) Exaggerate or guess about information on the credit application- When you apply for auto loans with bad credit it is important to be completely honest and accurate when filling out the credit application. The lender you are attempting to obtain financing through will more than likely verify all the information on the application before they will disperse any funds. As an example at some point during the approval process the lender will ask you to provide proof of income. This will typically be your most recent paystub. If you over estimate your income on the application you will more than likely be rejected during the verification process if your paystub does not substantiate what you represented on the application. Lenders that specialize in auto loans with bad credit are very thorough when it comes to verifying information on your application. Get documentation together ahead of time and have it at your [...]
I'm looking to buy a car from a dealership for apprx. $12000, putting $1000 down but my credit score is only 580. What will my interest rate be around? Unfortunately, there is no around, typical is not typical, can be 12% range and up depending on different criteria. your credit, the length of loan and the vehicle itself makes a difference in Ny, 24 is the state maximum. with a 580 score, they would be using sub-prime lenders, rates can be high, but be careful some dont help/improve credit as you pay on time, only hurts if you dont pay. Kbb.com or edmunds.com offer sites/links for tutorials on credit. Ask for the bank name, and as someone else mentioned check with your own bank and DO negotiate the APR with salesperson after you negotiate price. GOOD LUCK.
Let me tell you my problem: I want to purchase a vehicle but I'm worry about my credit. I have past-due child support that I just start paying after I got my new job. I was wondering if that will hurt me or count against me from not getting a loan. I recently apply with a bank to get a loan and they approved me for $13000 APR is around 15%. They just need to verify some more info about me. I'm worried that if after I talk with them they might not approve the loan. Has anybody been in a similiar situation like me? Please respond with feedbacks so I have an understanding on what to do before I waste my time at the bank. In NJ even if you are making your payments but your arrears are over $1000 your account will be reported to credit agencies... Most states have similar rules except that the amount varies.. Call your child support office and find out weather your account has been reported. --- If u already started making payments on your account you can tell the bank to call the [...]
i would like to have a truck but my credit will not let me. i don't have a down payment but figured if i could get pre-approval before i go to a dealership this would help me a lot thanks in advance for your help. dude, what makes you think that you can afford to pay a truck payment? you might have to go ot one of those small sub-prime car dealers who do inhouse financing, but you will probably pay 18% or more interest
Ok, let me tell you my story-I have bad credit but NO DEBT. Before I joined the military, I payed my 2300 worth of debt off. That was about a year ago, maybe 10 months. Anyways, My credit is still bad though, and I applied for an autoloan through USAA and they said I could get a 12,000 loan WITH a cosigner. But This is not what I need, I need a little bit higher, say, 15,000. Since, I have no debt, Are all the places gonna only approve me for 12,000 or can I get anymore? Please don't tell me to get a car for 12,000, I have the car I want, it is a good deal and my only advise I need is about the loan, not my car. Thanks, by the way, I currently have no credit cards or anything. Also, I was going to put 1000$ down, maybe 1500$ is everything goes right, will this help? Yes, you can get an auto loan with bad credit, and yes, I'm sure someone will loan you $15,000...but you won't be able to afford the payments. Auto loan companies make money off people like you. To be honest, USAA is probably [...]
I have a credit score of 555 and my wife has a very good credit score. I make over $70K per year and now I need a new car for my work. The last car I bought I paid for in cash because of my credit score. All of my credit issues happened in College 5-7 years ago but is still haunting me. If my wife's crediit score is over 720, and she co-signs do I get the interest rate based on her score or an average of both of ours? Any help is appreciated before I submit fo a loan application with my credit union. I had a civil judgement 5 years ago, and that is why my score is low, as well as the collection accounts from 2 credit card from 6 years ago as well. Something doesn't make sense. If you have been a good payer for the past 5 years and you make $70 k, there is absolutely no reason for you to have a 555 FICO score. This would imply you have multiple accounts in collection, recent charge-offs, etc. Have you or the car dealer run a credit score lately? Maybe your score is higher than [...]
Hi am looking to get financed but i have really bad credit in the lower lower end of the 500 range. i will be paying cash for half the car and hopefully getting financed for the other half. does anyone know if it is possible, i understand my interest will be high if i can but i am willing to take that on i just wanna repair my credit. what are some good places to go through to get financed with the bad credit. i am looking into purchasing a new 2009 altima ....any suggestions? buy a used car for cash would be the best idea. however if you really want a car loan buy a used car that you could pay off in cash from a new car dealer with a loan then make six monthly payments a nd pay off the balance. this will raise your score. and not leave you in debt for years. in the mean time begin settling with your old creditors for a reduced payoff if they will remove the item from your credit report.this will quickly repair your credit.
