How much off the ticket price (MSRP) should/can I ask at the car dealer (toyota)?
I would like to purchase a new toyota (currently looking at a tacoma). I would like to get it at the best price possible, but also want the dealer to take me seriously and not be too offended by an outrageoulsy low offer.
The MSRP’s I have been looking at are running around 26,000 to 29,000.
There are not currently any dealer incentives on these vehicles, but I will continue to watch.
I have excellent credit so that is not an issue.
I have time on my side as I don’t NEED the vehicle immediately.
I am located in a town with a population of roughly 40,000 and have access to larger towns nearby and their dealerships.
Thanks!
Don’t worry about the MSRP. You should find out what the invoice cost to the dealer is and negotiate from there.

also, get your financing from your bank, otherwise the dealer will just tack your ‘savings’ onto your loan

there is only one correct answer which is as much as possible, and the way to get the most off is to go to several dealers showing each the best price you have been quoted by another dealer and asking if they can beat it

Then there is the issue of trying too hard. You may shop until you are blue in the face, got the lowest number, BUT you also met the sharpest guy out there. He WILL make money somehow, especially from people who have shopped the world. Over shopping can also hurt you. I truly enjoy watching this happen to people who think they know everything.
Go to your local dealer (you may need him someday) and offer him a fair (for toyota) 500. over cost. He may or may not take it. But try to buy from your local dealer. I also enjoy the clients who come in complain that they have a problem, and ask me for help. The look on their face when you tell them if they need special consideration they’ll have to go back to they dealer they bought it from. Try to buy local, it will make a difference.

i would go with a Chevrolet Colorado instead as it is a much better truck for less money.

Will let you price away without putting in any personal info or committing to anything.
There appears to be about $2000+ to play with on these. If you are persistent, you may be able to get more off. I input a 4×4 Crewcab regular bed w/ the TRD sport package. Other models may have more or less to play with.

Great blog. Many websites like yours cover subjects that just aren’t covered by magazines. I don’t know how we got on 10 years ago with just magazines and newspapers.
What is captcha code?, pls provide me captcha code codes or plugin, Thanks in advance.
Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your thoughts? I mean, what you say is important and everything. But its got no punch, no pop! Maybe if you added a pic or two, a video? You could have such a more powerful blog if you let people SEE what youre talking about instead of just reading it.
Haha, I have a very good make money plan and I’m looking for downline promotional partners. Please send an email to disopalu@gmail.com
